Flat Hood: Especially suited for heavy fumes and gases. High efficiency when placed vertically on a surface e.g. a table. |
The hoods for Alsident® System 50 include a stub pipe.
For Alsident® System 50, the hoods are available in two different materials: Aluminium for the majority of work processes and Antistatic PP for work in ESD areas.
Note: Conductive PP and transparent PETG withstand max. air temperature at 80° C. SYSTEM 50 AL The hoods for aluminium extraction arms are made of three different materials: transparent PETG and anodized or powder coated aluminium. The coloured plastic parts are made of polypropylene (PP). PETG can be cleaned with most allround cleaning materials and with spirit. System 50 AL is applicable in all working environments with no special requirement for conductivity. SYSTEM 50 AS
It is important to notice that the material of the hood must be the same as the material of the extraction arm in order to maintain the conductivity of the installation. This is especially important when choosing the antistatic extraction arm eg for an ESD working area. The hoods for antistatic extraction arms are made of chromated (TCP) aluminium or conductive PP. System 50 AS is applicable in work environments with special requirements for antistatic quality, such as ESD work environments. |
COLOURS
In System 50 AL it is possible to choose the colour of the hood flange. There are three standard colours of flange: red, white and black. The colour code is added to the basic article number as -4, -5 or -050.
POSITIONING THE HOOD Under Optimal position of the hood you will find an explanation in greater detail of how to position the hood considering source and type of pollution.
