Alsident System A/S - Alsident System extraction arms are available in three different materials eg for aggressive environments and ESD / ATEX areas. Find the correct material
Below you will find a description of the different materials for our Alsident® System extraction arms and their characteristics.

ALUMINIUM (al)
Alsident Sugearm i Aluminium
The extraction arms of aluminium are suitable within working areas with no special demands as to chemical resistance or conductivity.
The difference between this material and the other materials is that the pipes are of anodised aluminium. The joints are of shatterproof polypropylene (PP) and available in 3 different colours depending on the system.
The hoods for the extraction arms in AL are with a stub pipe of anodised aluminum. The material of the hoods are generally anodised or powder coated aluminum and vacuum-moulded transparent PETG-plastic.

CHEMICAL RESISTANT (PP)
Alsident Sugearm i Polypropylen
The chemical resistant extraction arms are for the use in aggressive working environments with special demands to chemical resistance as a result of the work of removing i.e. aggressive chemical fumes.

Unlike the other variants, the pipes of the chemical resistant extraction arms are made of white shatterproof polypropylene (PP) which is the same material as for the joints. Polypropylene (PP) is a very resistant plastic resistant to many different aggressive chemicals. The pipes are of polypropylene (PP) and the inner parts are of acid-proof stainless steel (AISI 316L) providing this material long durability in aggressive working environments.

The hoods for the chemical resistant extraction arm are with a stub pipe also made of chemical resistant polypropylene (PP). The material of the hoods are powder coated aluminium or vacuum-moulded polypropylene (PP).

Systems in PP: System 63, System 75 og System 100.

ANTISTATIC  (AS) - System 50
Alsident Sugearm i Antistatisk
The antistatic System 50 is different from our other systems in material and application as to approvals. The extraction arms have tubes of TCP treated aluminium and joints made of shatterproof, conductive polypropylene (PP).

System 50 antistatic is tested and approved for use in ESD
areas according to IEC 61340-5-1:2016. Therefore, they have an earthing wire with 1 MW resistance

See test reports from Danish Technogical Institute.

The stub pipe for the antistatic extraction arm in System 50 is made of TCP treated aluminium tube and is delivered together with the hood. The hoods are made of TCP treated aluminium or vacuum-moulded conductive polypropylene (PP).

See survey of  System 50.

ANTISTATIC (AS) - System 75 and System 100
Alsident Sugearm i Antistatisk
The antistatic extraction arm in System 75 and System 100 are very different from the arms of other materials, because both tubes and joints are made of shatterproof conductive polypropylene (PP).

System 75 AS and System 100 AS have both been tested and approved for use in Ex areas (ATEX) according to EN 80079-36-2016 and EN 80079-37-2016 and are therefore labelled: Ex II 1 GD
Therefore, these extraction arms are delivered with an earthing wire. Since they have also been tested and approved for use in ESD areas according to IEC 61340-5-1:2016, we also enclose an earthing wire with 1MW resistance.
See Test report with ESD/Ex approval from the Danish Technological Institute.
The stub pipe for the antistatic extraction arm is made of conductive polypropylene (PP) and is delivered together with the hood. The hoods are made of TCP treated aluminium or vacuum-moulded conductive polypropylene (PP).
